WE'RE BACK!

About Us
Dural Taekwondo
Welcome to Dural Taekwondo where you'll find a perfect mix of sport and community.
Our Saturday morning classes blend traditional martial arts with modern strength training, fitness, flexibility and mobility. No matter what your age, level of experience, or physical ability, our taekwondo classes will leave you feeling motivated, challenged, and ready for more!
In 90 minutes, we guarantee unique activities you'll never match in the gym. With self-defence, boxing, grappling, sparring, and even our own version of "fight club" to mix up every session, you'll never get bored.
Dural Taekwondo is also a tight-knit community and family. Founded over 25 years ago, we've seen a mix of kids, adults, parents, children...even grandchildren train with us over the years.
Whether you're looking to return to martial arts, missing a team sport feel, seeking confidence in defending yourself, or wanting a new approach to fitness, this is the class for you.
Our regular classes run every Saturday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at Dural Squash Courts. All ages, genders, levels of experience, and fitness levels are welcome!

Inspiring Kids
Fun, challenging, and a life-long skill, kids of all ages benefit from our classes.
We build self-confidence through focus, dedication, and a challenging but rewarding grading system.
By building their skills in self-defence, technique and coordination, taekwondo gives children confidence in their abilities and builds self-esteem for life.

Empowering Women
We're lucky to count some incredible women as members of our community.
We believe in building confidence and skill in practical self-defence techniques designed for real-world scenarios. We're also proud to support our female martial artists in developing their skills through equal opportunities.
It's our goal to empower every woman and girl who walks through our doors.

Encouraging Men
We often hear from men in their late twenties, 30s and beyond that there's a gap in their life that was previously filled by team sports.
Taekwondo delivers a 'team-sport' energy, combined with challenging training methods that build strength, fitness, flexibility and skill.
Train at your own pace in an engaging environment you won't match at the gym, with a level of energy and vitality in our community that rivals team sports.
What's in a class
Traditional Taekwondo
Learn the Korean martial art of taekwondo. Translated as 'the way of the hand and foot', our training is rooted in learning a range of kicking and punching techniques, traditional poomse (patterns of movement), and both attack and defence skills.
Our classes are structured by a traditional belt ranking system. In fact, Dural Taekwondo is lucky to host some of Australia's highest ranking black belts - but that doesn't mean beginners aren't welcome! We all started somewhere.
Train at your own pace and benefit from the support of our instructor and long-serving class members who will take you through everything you need to know.
Self-Defence
While taekwondo as a martial art features self-defence movements and techniques, our class places additional focus on practical applications and real-world scenarios.
For many, the threat of a taller, stronger attacker is a real risk, so we look at effective, powerful self-defence techniques to get out of dangerous situations fast.
Fitness
No equipment, no gym, no pressure. No matter what your level of fitness or physical ability, our training is adaptable and flexible.
Challenge yourself to increase your heart rate, stretch your flexibility, and enhance your mobility with a mix of exercises and drills over 90 minutes of focused training. We guarantee a work out that will give your gym membership a run for its money.
Skill
Taekwondo is made up of a wide range of skills and specialties. You might find you have a passion for sparring, or a flair for poomse (pattern) perfection. Each session offers a mix of activities and training drills to expand your skills.Whatever you enjoy, we're there to support and challenge you.
